Would you like to experience the fun of 'driving' a full motion virtual reality simulator and develop your driving skills?

Want to take a 'BMW' for a spin around a virtual 'Phillip Island Race Circuit'?

BMWCCV is offering 20 fully subsidized half hour simulator sessions at Southbank (normally $75 each).

You can choose your preferred time slot between 10am and 4pm on any of five nominated days being Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays in September, October or November 2021.

Please note that dates at the Simulator are under review and potentially being moved to November 2021 due to Covid restrictions.

      • Be reimbursed AFTER ATTENDING the simulator session via bank direct deposit.

Full fee paying (non-subsidised) members, family and friends are welcome to attend with you too.

The simulators will be set up as a BMW car and enable you to feel like you are really driving at the iconic Phillip Island International Race circuit.

For those who are also planning to attend the November 20th ‘Come and Try’ day, and drive a real car on the real race track, the simulator training will provide a great opportunity to get some advance familiarity with the Phillip Island circuit.

      1. REGISTER on the BMWCCV events portal and apply for a subsidy code

Calling for BMWCCV members to train for the MSCA Flag Marshalling team

The Marque Sports Car Association Vic (MSCAV) is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers which has become a leading provider of sprint events in Victoria.

The MSCAV consists of 14 affiliated clubs including the BMWCCV.

The MSCAV provides a cost-effective way for member clubs to participate in 10 super sprints annually that are held at various race circuits throughout Victoria.

The MSCAV are calling for additional volunteers for our flag marshalling team.

There already exists a great foundation of around 16 members and to keep this sustainable, we need to get a stable group of at least 20 volunteers.

New flaggies do not need experience as free training is provided.  We are very happy to have people who are enthusiastic and keen to become involved in our sport.

We are also putting the call out to drivers who, for whatever reasons, are not able to commit to a season of sprinting and who are willing to help out and give back to the MSCAV.  This also extends to committee members.

You don’t have to be available for every round; even supporting a couple of events per year helps enormously.

Volunteering as a flaggie is a great way to get up close to the action and enjoy a fun day of motorsport with some of the best track views ever.

If you would like more information contact MSCAV President, Bruce Astbury on 0419 353 011 or email presidentmsca@msca.net.au or your MSCAV delegate, David Lumb, BMWCCV Motorsport/Driver Training on 0409 535 727
