Friday August 27th 7pm to 8pm 2021 pre-briefing using ZOOM
Welcome and congratulations on being part of the 'Beginner Car Care, Safety and Performance Driver Training for Women' event. Thanks also to members who've encouraged a family member to register.
Most participants haven't met each other before and maybe getting excited and/or perhaps a bit nervous.
The short online Zoom meeting is an opportunity to:
- Ensure you are comfortable and prepared
- Outline the schedule for the day
- Go through a checklist about what to do, wear, bring and not bring
- Meet online some of the other attendees, Drivers, Non-driving participants/Observers and Mentors
- Answer any questions
Please REGISTER asap for the ZOOM meeting. You will then be emailed a Zoom LINK, date and time.
You will also soon be emailed IMPORTANT PRE-EVENT INFORMATION from Evolve Driving who are running the Performance Driver training event.
Before the Zoom meeting, there are several key things that you need to do IF DRIVING on the September 3rd event:
Car roadworthy preparation: Any standard roadworthy car is acceptable, it does not have to be a BMW. Please note that the car care training is NOT to ensure your car is roadworthy on the day. This needs to be done in advance of the driver training. Please check when your car was last serviced and if necessary, get it serviced to ensure tyres, brakes, fluids etc are all ok.
Organise a Helmet: If borrowing from a family member or friend, please check that the helmet fits ok. If you need to borrow a helmet from the BMWCCV, please organise this and the size required (S, M or L) well in advance by emailing motorsport@bmwcarclubvic.com.au.
Read the Pre-Event Information from Evolve Driving which is coming in a separate email and will contain:
- A pre-event checklist (1 page)
- Safety guidelines for a performance drive day (1 page)
- An indemnity and release form (1 page) - to be emailed to Evolve
- A pre-event information booklet (8 pages)
Wait list:
Some registrants have missed out on a subsidised place and are on a waitlist in case someone drops out. Please advise as early as you can if you can no longer attend on Friday September 3rd.
