WINTON PERFORMANCE DRIVER TRAINING

Saturday 21st July, 2018 

This is a premium quality Performance Driving training event focusing on technique, skills and awareness improvements.

Each driver will have a minimum of 5 x 20 minute sessions which will include 3 in-car sessions with professional instructors from Evolve Driving.

There will be a limited number of cars on the track at any one time to give drivers plenty of quality track time without too much traffic.

No race licenses are required – standard road license is sufficient. 

BMWCCV are providing this event to its members at a significant discount compared to the standard cost – normally $550.

Event Format

·         Safety Briefing for all drivers

·         Motorsport and circuit briefing

·         Circuit inspection for new drivers

·         20min sessions (minimum 5 sessions)

·         Maximum 10 cars on track in any drive session

·         Each driver will have 3 in-car instruction sessions

·         Drivers will receive a driver evaluation written by their instructor (emailed out post-event)

Garage hire (shared) for the Driver Training Day is included.

Buffet lunch and refreshments are included.

For BMWCCV members who attended the Performance Academy class on July 10, and also attend this Driver Training event, they will be reimbursed the Performance Academy class fee post the Winton event.

About Evolve Driving

Evolve Driving instructors are seasoned motorsport participants of varying levels including International and Supercars. Most have also completed a High Performance Driver Education certificate - a qualification becoming recognized worldwide as the benchmark for the Driver Training industry.

Lap times are not used for judging driver progression, the focus on technique and awareness. This helps drivers make real Performance Driving improvements that will benefit them on all circuits. 

Small drive group sizes (maximum 10) and running 20 min sessions at Winton is the best format to give everyone minimal on-track traffic allowing them to learn without pressure from faster cars or frustration from slower cars.

Check in 7:45am, Safety Briefing 8:30 am - ALL drivers

Training starts at 9:00am sharp, finish 4:30pm

Entries limited to first 20 registrations

No entries on the day

Full payment is required within 24 hours of registration
